The New Pups

Personally, I think everyone should be required to raise at least one puppy (or at least take care of one) before they are allowed to have children.

Why you might ask?

Because puppies are an excellent way to prep for babies.

For instance:
  1. They must be fed...twice every day…even if all you want to do is come home and take a nap.
  2. They whine and moan until you pick them up.
  3. They whine and moan until you put them down.
  4. They whine and moan until you follow them….they whine ALOT.
  5. They get into every possible thing that they shouldn’t.
  6. They put things in their mouth that they shouldn’t.
  7. They listen to you, but choose to “not hear” you.
  8. They leave little “presents” for you every morning that YOU get to clean up.
But they also:

Give you unconditional love, even if you’ve been gone the entire day

Want nothing more than to cuddle in your arms after a long walk

Don’t care what you look like or how you’re dressed
Always come running back to you if they’ve wandered too far

Make you smile without trying

Infect you with a joy that's quite unlike anything else
Make your house a home and become your family
and
Give you a reason to get outside and enjoy life

And isn't enjoying life what it's all about? For instance, my happy place is this little piece of Paradise my husband and I are ever so slowly carving out for ourselves in this world. And all pieces of Paradise MUST have a hammock in them....it's required.
